Helping working parents pay for child care

Some families can get help paying for childcare while parents go to work, school, or training. Parents who receive scholarships choose who will provide care. Payments are made directly to the provider.

Many parents are asked to share the cost by making copayments, which range from $6 to $20 a week for each child.

To qualify, parent income must at or be below 85% of the state's median income based on family size. For a family of four, that’s $76,272.
