Helping working parents pay for child care
Some families can get help paying for childcare while parents go to jobs, school, or training. Parents who receive vouchers choose who will provide care. Payments are made directly to the provider.
Many parents are asked to share the cost by making copayments, which range from $6 to $20 a week for each child.
To qualify, parent income must be below 300% of the federal poverty level based on family size. For a family of four, that’s $83,250.
