Keeping children safe from lead poisoning is critical

While lead can cause problems for people of every age, protecting children under age 5 from lead poisoning is especially important because their brains and bodies are growing so quickly. The SC Department of Health and Environmental Controls (DHEC) provides information on how to limit lead exposure.
